Gloria Jean Spence

Gloria Jean Spence, 78 of Clarktown, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.

She was born August 3, 1944, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Ballard Richard and Imogene Mae Elliott Fraley.

Gloria was a homemaker and STN Aide, a member of Christ’s Brethren Church, and a 1962 Portsmouth High School graduate.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Jerry William Spence Sr. whom she married March 6, 1963, in Lucasville; two daughters, Regina (John) Spence-Terry of Clarktown, Fawn L.  (Tom) Burns of Mason, OH; one son Jerry Spence Jr. of Clarktown; four grandchildren, Jeanna (Taylor) Wells, Julie (James) Seibert, Jodi (Chip) Gholson, and David Burns; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Levi, Lucas, Keaton, Lily, and Henley; her Aunt Wanda Walters; her brother-in-law Stan (Gail) Spence; and one brother, Craig Fraley of Akron, OH.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with James Dummitt officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 till the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.
