David Blankenbeckley

David Blankenbeckley, 75, of Firebrick, Kentucky passed away, Aug. 29, 2022 in Abbyshire Place in Bidwell, Ohio. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, April 5, 1947, a son of the late Lonzo and Mora McCray Blankenbeckley. David was a member of the Temple Baptist Church and a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army where he received a Purple Heart, also he was a member of the Carpenters Union for 50 years.

Preceded in death besides his parents is his wife, Connie Blankenbeckley, Nov. 4, 2021.

Surviving are two children, Ben (Tonia) Blankenbeckley of Westerville, Ohio, Vanessa Bowen of Firebrick, Kentucky, one sister, Sue Angel of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, grandchildren, Alexis (Seth) Jordan, Makaiya and Morgan Blankenbeckley.

Military Graveside services will be by the James Dickey American Legion Post 23, Portsmouth, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. John Gowdy, officiating. Burial will follow in Firebrick Cemetery, Firebrick, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 till 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug 31, 2022 and from 11 a.m. till the funeral hour at 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Did not know this till now have known David most of his life lived next door in the old Ford place when we all were growing up.my sincere condolences to his family prayers for all.i am so sorry Sue.
