Elsie Taylor

Elsie Taylor, 74, went to be with the Lord at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.  She was born April 5, 1947 in Adams County, Ohio to the late Charles and Ocha Graham.  On November 30, 1965 she married the love of her life, Ora Taylor and they were married for 56 years before his death on February 21, 2016.  Ora and Elsie built a life together surrounded by family and anchored to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Elsie was a faithful member of Hoffer Hill Baptist Church.  She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.  The last few years she spent in the nursing home, she gained many friendships, loved drinking coffee and playing bingo.  She had a contagious smile and will be remembered for her meekness and kind heart.

She is survived by her children, Juanita (Greg Flaugher) Koch of Lucasville, Floyd Taylor of Indiana, Matthew Taylor of Peebles and Kimberly (Rickey) Richmond of Peebles, Robert (Donna) Taylor of Peebles, Judy Roberts of Peebles, and Phyllis (Paul) Malott of Peebles; two sisters, Bernice (Bud) Parker of Bluecreek and Phyllis (Greg) Bach of Otway; twenty seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Elsie was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Graham and sisters, Anzie Hoffer, Nettie May Ross and Elizabeth Taylor and one grandson.

Arrangements are pending at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.
