Alvin Roy Davis, 76, of Valley View Drive, Piketon, Ohio died at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born March 7, 1942, the son of Ernest Walter Davis and Nellie Ladena (Mercer) Davis. He was united in marriage to Carolyn J. (Locke) Davis on December 28, 1963.

Surviving are a son, Britt Davis and wife Tamara of Liberty Township, granddaughter Avery Davis, one brother, Harold Davis and wife Avonelle of Waverly, four sisters, Deanie Vulgamore and husband Norbert of Piketon, Betty Terry of Newport News, Virginia, Janet Chaski and husband Ted of Indian Harbor Beach, Florida and Kay Ingram and husband George of Piketon.

His parents, wife, two brothers, Delbert Davis and Marvin Davis, and three sisters, Leafy Perkins, Catherine Coterel and Bonnie Knight, preceded Alvin in death.

Alvin was a retired electrician for IBEW Local 575, Portsmouth, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 1 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Jon Black officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Road, Waverly.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until the service hour on Wednesday.
