Mill Road Bridge Completion

Scioto County Engineer Darren LeBrun, PE, PS has announced the completion of a new bridge constructed on MIll Road in Porter Township. The new bridge is a prestressed concrete box beam bridge that spans 136 feet over Pine Creek and replaces a truss structure built in 1938.

The design build project was successfully completed on schedule by the joint venture team of Kokosing Construction Company, Inc., Westerville, Ohio, and E.L. Robinson Engineering, Columbus, Ohio. The total project cost was $1,130,000. Grant funding totaling 41,073,500 was provided by the County Engineers Association of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

LeBrun has stressed that this project could not have been completed without the assistance and cooperation of the Ohio Department of Transportation, the County Engineers Association of Ohio, the Scioto County Commissioners, and the Design Build Team of Kokosing Construction and E.L. Robinson Engineering. LeBrun aprreciates everyone involved and thanks them for their efforts.
