11th Annual Ohio National Guard Reunion for the 216th Engineer Battalion

The 11th Annual Ohio National Guard Reunion for the 216th Engineer Battalion will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at noon at the American Legion Post 23 in Portsmouth.

 

The 216th Battalion was created on March 24th, 1942 during World War II. It’s headquarters were moved to Portsmouth in 1963 and remained there before moving to Hamilton, Ohio in 1996.

 

The reunion invites all guardsmen and their families and will feature food such as fried chicken, potato wedges, cole slaw, and baked beans, as well soft drinks and other goodies. Members are also invited to bring in their pictures from previous reunions to build a record of collection.
