Henry Gross to play charity event for Sierra’s Haven

Henry Gross is performing at Port City Pub on Thursday, July 26th to raise proceeds for Sierra’s Haven animal shelter.

Gross is an American Singer songwriter best known for his work with the group Sha Na Na and for the hit song ‘Shannon’. He was also the youngest person (18) to play Woodstock in 1969.

Tickets for the event are $40 and can be purchased at WNXT, Port City Pub, Shawnee Animal Clinic, Sierra’s Haven, or by visiting sierrashaven.org.

Social hour starts at 6PM and comes with wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres. Gross will then take the stage at 7:30 and a cash bar will be available. A silent auction will also be held throughout the evening.

All proceeds go to Sierra’s Haven. Found in 2006, Sierra’s Haven is a safe and friendly no kill shelter for stray and abandoned animals. Their goal is to teach humane principals for prevention of animal cruelty and to stop the over population of pets.

Last year, Sierra’s Haven saved over 1,400 pets. And they continuously offer programs for low income families such as cat neuter day, which will be held on Sunday, July 22nd. For only $20, individuals regardless of income can have their male cats neutered. Rabies vaccines will also be available.

To make an appointment, call 740-353-5100. Or, if you are interested in adopting a forever friend, check out their website at sierrashaven.com.
