One person killed in Scioto County Crash

The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred on June 1st, 2018 at 9:20 pm. The crash occurred on Dogwood Ridge near Edmond Drive in Scioto County.

Comments: The 2005 Chevy was traveling southwest on Dogwood Ridge and lost control on a hillcrest. The vehicle drove off of the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert. The vehicle overturned and partially ejected the driver. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Scioto County Coroner. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and he was not wearing his seatbelt. This crash remains under investigation.
