Lucasville man arrested for grand theft auto

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini announces that detectives from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Lucasville man after an ongoing investigation involving a theft of a truck. On February 23, 2018 the 911 dispatch center received a call from a man stating that his 1981 Ford F150 truck was stolen from his house located on West Street Lucasville Ohio. Captain John W. Murphy stated that a deputy responded and took a report that was forwarded to a detective for an investigation. During this investigation detectives were able to develop a possible suspect while interviewing witnesses. On March 27, 2018 the suspect was located in an abandoned vehicle parked at the intersection of Locus Street and Oakwood Ave. in Lucasville where he was detained without incident and later arrested. Arrested was Ricky Shaw age 27 of Lucasville, Shaw was charged with one count of grand theft auto a felony of the 4th degree. Shaw is currently being held in the Scioto County jail on a $7,500 bond. Sheriff Donini stated that this is an ongoing investigation that will result in more charges being presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury on a later date. Captain John W.
