Becky Ellis

Rebecca Ann Ellis, 53, of Lucasville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at SOMC Hospice.

She was born on June 27, 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Larry Phillips of Geneva, Ohio, and the late Charles and Linda Murphy. Becky was well known for her kind heart and her passion to help others. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, spoiling her dogs, and frequenting the Lucasville dollar stores.

In addition to mother and second father, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Joseph and Ethel Ellis.

Becky is survived by her husband of 34 years, Joseph Ellis, whom she married on January 3, 1992 in South Shore, Kentucky; her children Shelby (Ryan) Wamsley of Lucasville, Madison (Marcus) Mitchell of Urbana, and Dylan Ellis of Waverly; her grandchildren Reid, Remi, and Sylvie Wamsley, and Myles and Maddyn Mitchell; and her best friend of 51 years, Trish Charles.

She is also survived by father, Larry Phillips of Geneva, Ohio, and many special brothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 20, 2026 at the McKinley Funeral Home, with Luke Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the services on Monday at the funeral home.
