Gary Thomas Davis

Gary Thomas Davis, 78, of West Portsmouth, died Sunday, June 14, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 26, 1947 in Portsmouth, to the late Howard and Mary Lee Bailey Davis.

Along with his parents , he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Ronald Davis and David Davis and a sister Barbara Davis.

Gary was a Farmer, an Auctioneer and a Flee Marketer. He was well know from being with Davis Implement.

Gary is survived by his wife Emma Louise Murnahan Davis whom he married on April 12, 1976, a son Larry (Peggy) Davis, a daughter, Kimberly (Joseph) Varney, 4 grandchildren; JT Varney, Emma Varney, Courtney Davis and Kirsten Evans, 2 great grandchildren; Joshua and Emery Evans, along with many friends from the Flee Market that were like family, his best friend Eddie Hoyle and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 5:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
