Michael Rafferty Obituary
Lucasville, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2026 at his home.
He was born October 8, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota, a son of the late Robert G. and Leona Ida Hansen Rafferty. Michael was a graduate of Fon Du Lac High School and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia Technical College. He was a retired electrical engineer from the former atomic energy plant in Piketon and of the Episcopal faith.
Michael is survived by his wife, Melda Bradbury Rafferty, who he married in 1967 in Man, West Virginia; two sons, Michael (Stephanie) Rafferty of Pensacola, Florida, and Matthew (Jill) Rafferty of Powell, Ohio; three grandchildren, Connor, Andrew, and Alafaire; and a sister, Kathy Sieren of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, April 6, 2026 at the McKinely Funeral Home, with Kevin Green officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the services Monday at the funeral home.
