William “BJ” Grooms

William “BJ” Grooms, 39, of Portsmouth died Sunday March 2, 2025. He was born September 7, 1985 in Portsmouth to April Grooms Buffington. BJ worked in lawn care and was a huge Buckeye fan. He would love to wear nice clothes and look good.

BJ is survived by his son Braden Grooms of Portsmouth, his mother April Grooms Buffington of Portsmouth, his grandmother, Shirley Plumber, and a brother Michael Grooms of Portsmouth, a half-sister, two half-brothers, a step-sister,

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth with pastor Bryan Davis officiating. A visitation for friends and family will also be on Tuesday, from 5:00 PM until start of service at 7:00 PM.
