Portsmouth woman charged with murder
On Oct. 16, 2024, at approximately 6:19 p.m. Portsmouth 911 center received a call from 1803 Baird Ave. that a female had shot a male at that location. Patrol officers and Fire/EMS were dispatched to that location. Upon arrival, patrol officers encountered the female suspect outside of that location. The female suspect was detained. Portsmouth Fire/EMS attempted live saving measures on the victim however, he was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department responded. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification responded and processed the crime scene. The Scioto County Coroner’s Office arrived and transported the deceased to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
The deceased has been identified as Anthony Wilson, 46-year-old male from 1803 Baird Ave. in Portsmouth.
Investigators have charged Juliana James Wilson with Murder (Felony 1). Juliana Wilson is a 47-year-old female also from 1803 Baird Ave. Portsmouth, Ohio.
The victim, Anthony Wilson, and the suspect, Juliana Wilson, were married and this homicide escalated from a domestic incident.
