Jason Shane Horn

Jason Shane Horn, 43 of Columbus, passed away on April 23, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on January 19, 1981 in Savannah Georgia to Rebecca (Rick) Woodruff McDaniels of Waverly and the late Danny Horn.  On February 17, 2016 he was united in marriage to Kelly Mansell-Horn who survives.  In addition to his wife, Jason is survived by his children; Kailey Horn of Chillicothe, Aadyn Shane Horn of Columbus and Clara Jo Horn of Columbus; stepson Logan (Keersten Roush) Earley of Waverly; step-granddaughter, Holland Early; siblings, Justin (Sarah) Horn of Beaver, Luke Penwell of the US Navy, Emily (Conner Schmitt) Penwell of Middletown and Danielle Riley Horn of Waverly; aunt, Kelly (TJ Penwell) Hensley of Chillicothe; uncle, Joe (Danielle Brown) Woodruff Jr., cousins, Jake Hensley and Sam (Whitney Williams) Hensley of Waverly; great uncle and aunt, Keith (Linda) Woodruff of Florida; cousin Brian Woodruff of Waverly and special friends, John Wayne Bryant, Eddie Montgomery and Angie Montgomery.  In addition to his father, Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents; Joe Woodruff and Axia “Sally” Hensley Woodruff and step daughter, Brooke Alyassa Earley.

Jason was employed by Columbus Express Laundry.  Jason was loved by all who knew him.  He had a great laugh and an amazing sense of humor.  His smile was infectious and could light up any room.  He never met a stranger and trusted everyone he came in contact with.

Services have been entrusted to Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.  The family respectfully requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
