Bonnie Sue Parsley Emmons

Bonnie Sue Parsley Emmons, 83, of McDermott, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Hillview Retirement Care Center.

She was born August 6, 1940 in McDermott, a daughter of the late Glenn and Beulah Ballengee Parsley.

McDermott-Bonnie was a retired secretary for the Northwest Local School District, attended McDermott Methodist Church, and was a 1958 McDermott High School graduate.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Emmons, September 17, 2019; and a sister, Barbara Carol Baker.

Bonnie is survived by children, Glenna Sue (Bobby) Graff of Lucasville, Julianne (Herm) Emmons of Lucasville, Jack William Emmons of McDermott, Timothy Jay (Marianne) Emmons of Lucasville, and Blake “Buddy” (Laura) Emmons of Versailles, KY; 11 grandchildren, Nycole Kulp, Jamie Kulp, Jade Emmons, Lyndsay (Jaime) Dadosky, Christine (Eric) Mowery, Mason (Amber) Montavon, Eli (Katelin) Emmons, Abigail Emmons, Noah (Mitchell) Smith, Hinzee Smith, and Timmy (Lexi) Emmons; 11 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Hudson, Nova, Atlus, Millie Jo, Landon, Wesley, Layla, Sayde, Miya, and Aiden; two sisters, Sally Ann Wright and Paula Denice (Bill) Parrish, both of Houston, TX; and many more loving friends and family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12, noon, Friday, April 5, 2024 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Daron Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in Rushtown Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and an hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
