Rickie Edward Litteral

Rickie Edward Litteral, 75, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Tuesday evening, February 6, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center from a brief illness.  He was born May 16, 1948 to Roy E. Litteral of Springfield and the late Evelyn (Tackett) Litteral.  Also surviving are his siblings:  Lynnette (Litteral) McDonald of Houston, Texas; Ken Litteral of Elkhart, Indiana; Doug Litteral of Chillicothe, Ohio; Vonnie (Litteral) Burkitt of Piketon, Ohio; Jill (Litteral) Caron of Telford, Tennessee; and Barney Litteral of Springfield, Ohio.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his mother, Rick was preceded in death by his brothers Michael Litteral, Sam Litteral, and Eric Litteral.

Rick attended Cedarville High School.  He held various jobs, but was best known for his painting skills.  Anytime someone had a painting job, they knew Rick was the guy to call.  He continued to enjoy painting until his health no longer allowed him to do so.  Just before he drew his last breath, Rick was blessed to have several come and pray with him.  During this time, Rick acknowledged that he loved God.

Rick will be forever remembered as the skinny guy who could always make you laugh. Every kid that ever met Rick easily fell in love with him and his child-like quality.   He spent time residing off and on with various family members and became like an uncle even to cousins and friends.

Friends may call at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly on Sunday, February 11 for visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. with the memorial service to follow immediately at 4:00 P.M.
