Carolyn Mae Hall

Carolyn Mae Hall, 83, of McDermott, died Saturday, January 13, 2024 at SOMC Hospice with her family by her side. She was born February 3, 1940 in Portsmouth, to the late William and Cecilia (Cattee) Payne. Carolyn was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame High School and worked at the Bridge carryout for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Jo Hall and a sister, Agnes Stephens.

Carolyn is survived her husband of 65 years, H. Ronald Hall, three sons, Ronnie Hall (Paula) of Oak Hill, Christopher “John” Hall (Melody) of McDermott, and Mark A. Hall (Betty) of West Portsmouth, two daughters, Lori A. Hall of Portsmouth and Michelle K. Castle (Ron) of West Portsmouth, a step-sister, Sharon Manelly (Bill) of Ft. Worth, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Derek Wales, Brooke Hall, Carson Porginski, Daisy Hall, Emily Hall-Barrett, and Jason Hall.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 :00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Michael Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott. A visitation for friends and family will be on Tuesday evening, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, where a Recitation of the Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM.
