Freddie Tackett

Freddie Tackett, 74 of Waverly, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on September 5, 1949 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late James Cutlip, Jr. and Joyce Roberts Cutlip.  On August 2, 1967 he was united in marriage to Patty Francis Tackett.  In addition to his wife, surviving are his children: Jason Tackett of Waverly and Tiffany (Cabel) Breitenbach of Waverly; grandchildren, Abbigail, Reid, Caydince and Lily Rae all of Waverly and Sydney of Chillicothe; sisters, Betty (Bill) Miles of Piketon, Joanie (Jeff) Lightle of Piketon and Lori (Brett) Bakenhaster of Piketon; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sister Sandy Rittenhouse.

Freddie was a United States Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #142.  He was retired from USEC.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor John Howard officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
