Thomas E. Castle, 70, died Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born on September 21, 1953 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late “Ben” and “Sis” Hood Castle.
A graduate of East High School in 1971, he worked in various manufacturing and engineering positions in the Aerospace Industry, retiring in 2002 from GE Aviation in Cincinnati and in 2014 from the Royce Aerospace in Indianapolis, IN. For the past six years, Tom consulted, along with his good friends, Zac and Angela, for various companies in California and Missouri. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed spending time with his “Best Friend and Wife” Ruth Ann, as well as his family, traveling and enjoying life.
Also preceding him in death was his wife of 39 years, Ruth Ann.
Surviving are two daughters, Tabetha (Rob) Miller of Enon and Amy (Brian) Trimble of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Thomas Carter, Amanda Wurtz, Logan Withrow and Dylan Trimble; a brother, David (Amy) Castle of Portsmouth; nephews, Eric Castle, Nathan Davis and Adam Weaver, along with other family and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Rob Krebbs officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and noon until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
