Michael Clyde Shelpman

Michael Clyde Shelpman, 65, of Lucasville, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.

He was born August 1, 1958 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Claude and Rosetta Montgomery Shelpman.

Michael was a retired auto mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Penny Sue Hiles Shelpman, whom he married October 22, 1979 in Lucasville; two sons, Charles (Deborah) Shelpman of Lucasville and Christopher Ray Shelpman (Christina) of Otway; five grandchildren, Laissa, Chelsie, Louanne, Austin, Dominick; a great grandson, Michael Lee; four brothers, Bill (Karln) Shelpman of Circleville, Bob Shelpman of Lucasville, David (Rhonda) Shelpman of South Shore, KY, Adam (Mary) Shelpman of Lucasville; five sisters, Linda Shelpman of Portsmouth, Juanita (Donnie) Colvin of Minford, Lori Dixon of Wheelersburg, Mary (Steve) McCune of Sciotoville, and Beth (Bill) Cluck of Minford.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Graveside services will follow in Scioto Burial Park with George Vastine officiating.
