Linda Smith

Linda Smith, 74 of Xenia, formerly of Stout, died, October 5, 2023, at Portsmouth Health and Rehab. She was born October 29, 1948, in Portsmouth to the late Rose Hurn-Davis (Miles E. Davis) and Charles Dee Snyder.

Along with her birth parents, she is proceeded in death by the parents who raised her, Leslie and Lucy Stout, and a brother, David L. Snyder.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Portsmouth West Hich School. After graduating she went on to work and retired at Kmart.

She is survived by her husband, Thad Smith, who she married June 16, 2007, in Dayton; 2 daughters Tonya (Daniel) Maynard, of Greenup, Ky, and Katina (Todd) Hinze, of Rosemount; 7 grandchildren, Courtney (Alan) Stewart, Keely (Nathan) McGraw, Kyle (Terra) Locher, Madison and Emily Maynard, Todd (Autumn) Hinze II, Nate (Ragen) Hinze; 12 great-grandchildren, Devin, Hunter, and Peyton Stewart, Kenady and Griffin McGraw, Graham and Greyson Locher, Ryker and Colt Hinze, Adeline, Elliot, and Emmett Hinze; a brother Tony Snyder; 4 sisters Pat Bailey, Evelyn Pigg, Brenda DeBusk, and Mary Fristoe, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly. Especially her best friend, Mike Rhoads.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, Ohio with interment at Brick Union Cemetery in Greenup, Ky.
