Lester Delbert Vest

Lester Delbert Vest, 91, of Piketon, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 24, 1932 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Edward and Thelma Cash Vest. On December 3, 1951 he was united in marriage to Lelah Galloway Vest who preceded him in death in 2019.  Surviving are daughters, Thelma (Randy) Robinson of Lucasville, Ohio and Angie (Marsha Clark) Vest of Patriot, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Galloway of Hartford, West Virginia; grandchildren, Terah Ramsey, Lacey Snedeken, Anthony Deacon, DaNel Galloway, Brian Harris, Joshua Harris, Dustin Harris and Ethan Harris, Paula McMahan, and Wesley Harris; and 13 great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son, Samuel R. Galloway: a great-grandson, Clint Harris; and a son-in-law, Paul Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Larry Moore officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26th at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
