Thelma Delores Hale

Thelma Delores Hale, 80, of Wheelersburg, passed away Friday September 8, 2023 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born September 9, 1942 in South Webster, a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Hollbach) Slack.

She was a longtime member of Frederick Freewill Baptist Church, a homemaker who enjoyed  sewing, hand quilting, embroidery, working in her flowers, was an avid bird watcher and most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thelma is survived by two sons, Danny (Tara) Hale of Wheelersburg, Jeffery (Yvonne) Hale of Portsmouth; five daughters, Dianna (Doug) Brunner of Portsmouth, Deana (David) Sutton of Wheelersburg, Glenda (David) Watts of Portsmouth, Sharon (Christopher) Patton of West Portsmouth and Kimberly (Bill) Radabaugh of Minford; two sisters, Elanora Blanton and Marlene Slack both of Norwalk; two brothers, Melvin Slack of Kingsville and Paul Slack of Norwalk along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Hale; a son, Steven Hale; a daughter Lora Randolph; three sisters, Wanda Knight, Jean Stiles and Helen Hollbach and two brothers, Ronald Slack. and Dale Slack.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday September 13, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Rusty Larter officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1 PM Wednesday at D.W. SWICK.
