Ethel Mae Hardy

Ethel Mae Hardy, 89, of Lucasville, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at SOMC Hospice.

She was born January 29, 1934 in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Cinton and Mary Gardner Van Kirk.

Ethel was a homemaker and a high school graduate.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hardy, April 24, 2015; two sons, Robert Allen Hardy and John Walter Hardy; two brothers Clinton and John Van Kirk; and four sisters, Louise Johnson, Patricia Walker, Rosemary Crabtree, and Joann Lute.

Ethel is survived by three sons, Richard E. Hardy, Ronald Hardy, and Daniel (Tami) Hardy all of Lucasville; four grandchildren, Crystal (Nathan) Webb, Mary Hardy-Garcia (Daniel Garcia), Julie (James) Buckler, and R.C. (Lacey) Hardy; and eight greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Graveside services will be held following the visitation in Scioto Burial Park with Daron Lilly officiating.
