Thomas Wayne Brewster

Thomas Wayne Brewster, 82, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his home.  He was born May 26, 1941 in Pike County, Ohio to the late John G. and Viola Williams Brewster.  On February 25, 1961 he was united in marriage to Alta Mae Stulley Brewster who preceded him in death on June 3, 2010.  Surviving are his children, Hayley Ann (Bill) Harnetty of Jackson, Anthony Wayne (Cathy) Brewster of Piketon and Thomas Gratt (Jessica) Brewster of Piketon; grandchildren, Wyatt, Devon, Maeleigha and Thomas Brewster; a sister, Helen Wooldridge; and a brother-in-law, Gary Wyckoff.  In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Wyckoff and a brother-in-law, Buster Wooldridge.

Tom was a 1960 graduate of Piketon High School.  He worked at Schmitt Implement in Waverly for 22 years and was owner and operator of Tom’s Grocery and Drive Thru for 40 years.  He loved to farm and raise beef cattle and was a lifetime member of Pike County 4-H.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Lawson officiating.  Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2nd at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Adena Hospice.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Adena Hospice.
