Rita Kay Secrest

Rita Kay Secrest, 65, of Lucasville, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at Southern Ohio Medical Center’s Emergency Room. She was born December 3, 1957 in Portsmouth, a daughter of Geraldine Taylor Jordan of McDermott and the late Harold Alfred Jordan. Rita was a homemaker and a 1976 Northwest High School and Scioto County Joint Vocational School graduate. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Phipps. Rita is survived by her husband, Robert Dale Secrest whom she married June 10, 1978 in Lucasville; two sons, Matthew Secrest of McDermott, and Justin Secrest of Waverly; three grandchildren; one brother, Steven Jordan of Lucasville; and one sister, Cheryl White of Howard, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Daron Lilly, officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the funeral service Saturday.
