David Joshua Charlton “Josh”

David Joshua Charlton “Josh”, 33 of Lucasville, Ohio passed away
peacefully on Sunday, December 11 th, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical
Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born on May 5th, 1989 in Portsmouth, Ohio to David and Brenda
Charlton of Lucasville, Ohio.
He was a 2007 graduate of Valley High School.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Olen Kenneth and Etta Eve
Charlton. Grandfather, Ollie Russell Phillips and two nieces Natalie Marie
and Emily Grace Charlton.
David Joshua Charlton is survived by his two sons Jeremiah Dallas and
Wyatt Josiah Charlton of Wheelersburg, Ohio. His parents David and
Brenda Charlton of Lucasville. Brothers, Nathaniel (Amanda) Charlton and
Brandon (Megan) Charlton. One nephew, Noah Russell Charlton and one
niece Aaliyah Jayda Moore. Grandparents, James Daniel and Ramona
Lynn Whaley and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Josh was a devoted, and loving father, a fan of OSU and Bengals football.
He enjoyed serving as a volunteer firefighter for the Jefferson Volunteer
Fire Department.
He will be carried to his final resting place by the following Pallbearers,
sons, Jeremiah and Wyatt. Father, David, brother’s Nate and Brandon,
nephew, Noah and uncles, Russ and Jamie. Josh will be laid to rest at
Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in Wheelersburg,Ohio
at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 14, 2022 with Pastor Danny Powell officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Visitation for family and friends
will be 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
