Lloyd Dewayne Gambill, 84 of Otway passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at SOMC Hospice. He was born on September 4, 1938 to the late Russell Swetman Gambill and Hazel Marie Fultz Gambill. He was united in marriage to Audrey Marie Nichols Gambill. In addition to his wife surviving are his children; Kim Cable of Otway, Jeff Gambill of Otway and Scott Gambill of Lucasville; grandchildren, Shannon (Carrie) Shaffer of Mt. Hope and Justin Shaffer of Otway; great grandchildren, Evan Shaffer of Greenup County, Austin (Lakin) Shaffer of Bear Creek, Skylar Shaffer of Newport, Kentucky and Jordan Gambill of Portsmouth; great-great granddaughter, Nevaeh Shaffer of Bear Creek; sisters, Barbara Paugh of Indiana and Kathy (Harold) Eskin of Cleveland and his beloved dog Chubby whom he loved very much.
Lloyd was an engineer for 39 years for N&W Railroad. He also owned Gambill’s Poultry Farm for 30 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the National Guard.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Scioto Burial Park with Pastor Danny and Sue King officiating.
