Clarence Eugene Riley “Buddy”, 71, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 at his home. Buddy was born October 17, 1950 in Portsmouth to the Jessie Franklin Riley and Vida Geneva Wolfe Riley. Buddy was retired as a conductor for CSX Railroad. He was a Navy Veteran and a member of American Legion James Dickey Post #23. In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Cooper and Brenda Scott and two brothers, Jessie Riley Jr. and Dennie Riley. Buddy is survived by his wife, Lorena Pentheny Riley; four sons, Clarence Riley of Lorain, Josh Riley and Jessie Riley both of Cincinnati and Shane Jordan of Wheelersburg; three daughters, Jordan Riley of Cincinnati, Cathie Jordan of Minford and Khristey Henderson of Alabama; a brother, Bobby Riley of FL; three sisters, Lena Louise Riley Henderson of Lorain, Marie Johnson and Joyce Riley of Cincinnati; three grandchildren and his best friends, Dougie Tackett, Kim O’Dell and Beth Goodman.
Services for Buddy will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Interment with American Legion James Dickey Post #23 Military Rites will follow in Memorial Burial Park.
