Mauna “Micky” Queen
Mauna “Micky” Queen, 99, of Lucasville, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at her residence.
She was born August 31, 1923, in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Herbert Carroll and Lillie Hecker Carroll Jordan.
Micky was a clerk/typist for the Department of Defense during WWII, a former caregiver at Edgewood Manor, a former employee of Portsmouth Baptist Daycare, and a former employee of Williams Manufacturing. She was the Third Elder of Victory Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a 1942 Valley High School graduate.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Richard Queen, March 14, 1988; one daughter, Diane Queen; two brothers, Charles and Frank Carroll; and four sisters, Dorothy Carroll, Hazel Rockwell, Betty Morgan, and Eleanor Conkel.
Micky is survived by three daughters, Sharon Ball of Morehead, KY, Tana Conley of Lucasville, Priscilla (Dan) Howard of Batavia; two sons, Raymond Douglas Queen of Lucasville and Frank Craig (Melanie) Queen of Minford; many grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Victory Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Joe Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Luckett Keller Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and one hour prior to the funeral Thursday at the church.
