Bobbie Lee Ezell Markham
Bobbie Lee Ezell Markham, 89, of Waverly, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Adena Medical Center with her three daughters by her side. She was born on May 5, 1933, in Stockdale, Ohio, to the late Edna “Meme” Williams Ezell and the late Clarence Hadden Ezell. Bobbie was a 1951 graduate of Waverly High School. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Markham on June 2, 1951, who preceded her in death on June 5, 2012. Surviving are her daughters; Jodi (Lloyd) Harmon, Lisa (Bob) Foster, and Molly (Jerry) Catanzaro, all of Waverly; grandchildren Ashlee (Brad) Stulley, Brooke (Rick) Greene, Megan (Dane) Carroll, Lindsay (Jason) Schrader, Carly (Paul) Price, Christopher (Caila) Catanzaro, and Casey (AJ) Phillips; great-grandchildren Kate and Mark Stulley, Max Greene and Ava Robertson, Cade, Carter and Cami Carroll, Jake and Abby Schrader, Jasper, Emmitt, Benton and Caroline Price, Vincent and Luca Catanzaro and Brigham and Millie Phillips. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her five sisters; Norma White, Deane Helm, Bette Hatfield, Dora Myers and Fran Francis.
Bobbie enjoyed cooking for her family, telling jokes and cheering on the Waverly Tigers. She also loved playing cards with her family, Euchre club, and special friends at the Pike County Senior Center. She loved her family, friends and dialysis and home health caregivers. Bobbie retired from Waverly City Schools in 1994 after 25 years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Waverly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Grace United Methodist Church of Waverly. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-2:00pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Central Ohio Chapter, P.O. Box 324, Blacklick, Ohio 43004.
