Martha Frances “Fran” Johnson

Martha Frances “Fran” Johnson, 85, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Waverly, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Trinity at Fairborn.  She was born February 18, 1937 in Lucasville, Ohio to the late James Paul Dillard and Bertha Shone Barrett.  In September of 1954 she was united in marriage to Donald Eugene Johnson who preceded her in death on June 20, 2022.  Surviving are her children, JC Johnson and wife Rhonda of Piketon, Joyce Hughes and husband Steve of Beavercreek, Ohio and Jeff Johnson and wife Lisa of Beavercreek; sisters, Wanda Wood and Dorothy Mathis; a brother, John Dillard; a bonus daughter, Phyllis Dunham Wells; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Dillard and Jimmy Dillard; and sisters, Barbara Ann Dillard and Bertha Baldridge.

Fran was a retired head cook at Pike Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, August 19, 2022 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Jeff Rhoads officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Rd.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
