James Richard “Dick” Sexton
James Richard “Dick” Sexton, 76, of Lucasville, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at his residence.
He was born March 3, 1946, in Dayton, a son of the late Edgar Sexton and Edna Buckley Brown.
Dick was a former Pepsi Cola employee and retired from construction work as a Brick and Stone Mason. He was a US Army Viet Nam War veteran serving as a Huey Helicopter Crew Chief. He loved horseback riding with family and friends and country and blue grass music.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Sexton.
Dick is survived by his three children, James Sexton Jr. of London, OH, Jamie Blackman of Wauseon, OH, and Joy (Kevin) Bostelman of Archbold, OH; three grandchildren, Jim, Logan, and Tatum; one brother, Albert “Bucky” Brown of Knoxville, TN; and three sisters, Norma Redden of Longview, TX, Rita Gahm of Minford, and Sue Yurosko of Sandusky, OH.
Visitation will be held 10:30 till noon, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with graveside military rites following in Scioto Burial Park by the William Baker and James F. Irwin Posts of the American Legion.
