Dale Leon Throckmorton

Dale Leon Throckmorton, 81, of McDermott, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his residence.

He was born November 9, 1940, in McDermott, a son of the late Cecil Marion and Mabel Hilt Throckmorton.

Dale was a musician performing with the BelAirs and Dale and Dave. He was a self-employed contractor and a 1958 McDermott High School graduate. Dale loved his family and his country.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Truman Throckmorton; two sisters, Sandi Throckmorton and Shirley Crabtree.

Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo Henson Throckmorton, whom he married December 9, 1962, in Portsmouth; one son, Timothy Neal (Terri) Throckmorton of McDermott; two grandchildren, Stephanie (TJ) Stidham and Joseph Throckmorton; two great grandchildren, Kairi Lynn and Spencer Cohen; one brother, Fred Throckmorton of Portsmouth; and one sister, June Spradlin of Loveland, OH.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with George Vastine and Phil Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 5 to 8 p.m. and an hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
