Vearl Richman “Rich” Pace, Jr passed peacefully on Saturday, May 28, surrounded by his loved ones and special cat, BeBe.

Rich, 82, was a 32nd degree Mason with Western Sun Masonic Lodge No 91 and AASR (Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite). He worked as a Teamster truck driver and as a carpenter. He loved building and working with his hands. He also loved being outdoors, especially on a hot day! Rich enjoyed mowing grass, porch sitting, and “loafing” with the guys at Gampp’s.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice (Drake) Pace and Vearl Richman Pace, Sr; six brothers, James Robert Pace, Elmer “Von” Pace, Phillip Pace, Wayne Pace, Mark Pace, and David Pace; one sister, Verna (Pace) Stewart; and a daughter, Teresa Pace.

Rich is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Sandy (Masters) Pace; two children, Melissa Pace and Travis Pace; one brother, John (Kathy) Pace; four sisters, Christine Oborne, Carol (Ron) Buckle, Diane (Steve) Matheny, and Cindy Jo Clements.

Rich will be deeply missed, but greatly remembered by numerous friends, relatives, and neighbors for his one-of-a-kind smile and infectious laugh. He will be forever cherished for the countless lives he touched with his genuine love, generosity, strength, and integrity.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Mark Price officiating.  A Masonic service will be held immediately before the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mead Cemetery in Wheelersburg.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
