Frances Bays

Frances Bays, 79 of Greenup, Kentucky passed away May 17, 2022 in Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by family. She was born in Lawrence County, Ohio, Nov. 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Branard Holsinger and Thelma Pollard. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. Frances was a mother to everyone and her door was always open, no one would ever leave hungry. She loved to yard sale, flea market and play bingo.

Preceded in death besides parents are her husband, Charles Lloyd Bays, one son, David William Hayslip, two grandchildren, Adam McGuire and Paige Evans and a special uncle, Enoch Holsinger.

Surviving are six children, Barbara Hamilton, Cheryl (Wes) Posey both of Greenup, Kentucky, Mark W. (Stacey) Fitzgerald of Portsmouth, Ohio, Lisa (Clayton) Reed of Greenup, Kentucky, Sida (Herman) Smith of Lloyd, Kentucky and Jason Bays of Greenup, Kentucky, one brother, Leroy (Wilma) Holsinger of Stout, Ohio, six sisters, Cindy (Dave) Carver of Stout, Ohio, Mrytle Robbins of South Dakota, Ruth Maddox and Mary Scott both of Georgia, Missy Rawlins of Clarktown, Ohio and Judy Deemer of Lucasville, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Tyler Fitzgerald, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Rosa Baptist Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Friday.
