Teno Joseph Schmitz

Teno Joseph Schmitz, 70, of McDermott, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Kings Daughter’s Hospital in Ashland, KY.  He was born December 6, 1951 in Winzer, Germany to the late Joseph Meszaros and Christine (Schmitz) Seboak.

Teno was the owner of Coles Park Auto Salvage in West Portsmouth, and a member of the Eagles Club.  He is survived by three daughters; Johanna Schmitz, of West Portsmouth, Annette Free, of Portsmouth, Jessica Cooper, of Arkansas, two sisters; Sonia Stevenson, of West Palm Beach, FL, Sylvia Seboak, of Flatwoods, KY, as well as three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, Julie Phillips, the children’s mother, and his best friends; Doug Tackett and Buddy Riley.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2022 at Melcher Hammer Funeral home in Portsmouth with Rev. Joseph Bruch officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
