Rosetta Montgomery

Rosetta Montgomery, 86, of McDermott, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, after lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s. She was born October 14, 1935 in McDermott, a daughter of the late Martin and Esther Overturf Montgomery.

She was loving devoted mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Rosetta is survived by five sons, William (Karen) Shelpman of Circleville, Robert Shelpman of Lucasville, Mike (Penny) Shelpman of Lucasville, David (Rhonda) Shelpman of South Shore, KY, and Adam (Mary) Shelpman of Lucasville; five daughters, Linda Shelpman of Wheelersburg, Juanita (Donald) Colvin of Minford, Lori Dixon of Wheelersburg, Mary (Steve) McCune of Sciotoville, and Beth (Bill) Cluck of Minford; 29 grandchildren, many great and great great-grandchildren; four brothers; and three sisters.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:45 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, in Rushtown Cemetery with George Vastine officiating. Friends may call 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Rest Haven Nursing Home for the tender loving care given to our mother.
