Beulah B. Smith
Beulah B. Smith, 92, of Elm Grove, Ohio went home to her Lord and Savior, Friday, April 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 25, 1929 in Nauvoo, West Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Rev. Cecil and Hattie Thompson. On January 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to H. Richard Smith who preceded her in death in 2005. Surviving are her children, Lyle Brent (Patricia) Smith, Steve (Richard Giles) Smith and Shawna (Becky) Smith; sister, Sybilla (Woodrow) Conley; 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jo Alice Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends. Yvonne Brewster and Mary Harris.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Mark R. Smith; brother, Howard R. Thompson; sister, Norma Starks Shearer; and infant brothers, Beril and Wayne Thompson.
Beulah retired in 2000 from Scioto Valley Local School District where she drove bus for over 30 years. She also served as clerk in charge and mail carrier. She attended Mount Zion Christian Union Church. Beulah had a deep faith with God and loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Dean Lansing officiating. Burial will follow in Grandmas’s Garden at Smith Family Farm. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 20th and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
