Richard Farley

Richard Farley, 53, of Ridgeway, Ohio, formerly of Austin Texas and South Webster, Ohio, went home to the arms of Jesus Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Richard was born August 25,1968 in Portsmouth to the late Grant Farley and Sara Lois (Merritt) Farley. Preceding Richard in death was his wife Melody (Mel) Farley, grandparents Lacy and Reabel Merritt, John Sherman and Rita Farley and sisters Sharon O’Bryan and Elizabeth Faircloth. Surviving are siblings, Patti (Art) Murphy, Linda (Dwight) Murphy of Wheelersburg, David (Debbie) Farley of Sanford, North Carolina, Ginger Farley of New Boston, Teresa Farley of Leland, North Carolina, Yvonne (Lee) Slack of Ridgeway, Ohio and Lorrie Sperry of South Shore, Kentucky and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Richard loved the Lord and loved reading the Bible. He enjoyed fishing, visiting his family and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loved to listen to gospel music (The McKamey’s “God On The Mountain”) and play video games. Richard will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew and loved him. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we will miss you until we meet again!

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022 at D. W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Randy Schnitzius officiating.  Burial will follow at Scioto  Furnace Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
