Sandra Kay Spicer

Sandra Kay Spicer, 76, of Newark, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.

She was born November 4, 1945, in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Jean Adele Dunham Phipps.

Sandy was a retired Electronic Technician from Diebold Inc. of Hebron and a 1963 Northwest High School graduate. She was a Avid sports fan, enjoying all sports and teams.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Spicer, May 5, 2014; two brothers, John Phipps and Melvin “Doc” Phipps; and two sisters, Shelba Tackett and Zelda Phipps.

Sandy is survived by two sons, Shawn (Jaimie) Williams and Darrell (Kendra) Williams both of Newark and their father, Lowell Williams of Newark; five grandchildren, Journey Williams, Bradley Chambers, Clayton Branham, Gage Miller, and Colin McGill; one great grandson, Kenneth McGill; one brother, Randy (Kris) Phipps of Peebles; and one sister, Patty (Walt) Prose of McDermott.

Sandy’s family will receive friends and family 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2022, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
