George L. Davis

George L. Davis, local farmer, businessman, WWII US Navy veteran, and active member of the Portsmouth Community has died.

Born October 21, 1925, he was the son of the late George L. and Ethel Ida Lakeman Davis.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of 70 years; his son George L. Davis III (Barb); his grandsons, George IV and Stuart (Stephanie); and three great grandchildren, Luca, Beckett, and Penn.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy.

There will be no visitation.

Private graveside services for the family were held in Greenlawn Cemetery with Tim Roth officiating. Arrangements under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
