Carl Vernon Stiles

Carl Vernon Stiles, 86, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Concord Health and Rehabilitation in Wheelersburg.  He was born October 21, 1935 in South Webster to the late Gilbert Charles and Margery (Crabtree) Stiles.  Vernon was a member of the First Church of Christ in Wheelersburg.  He was an outdoors man and loved hunting, fishing, riding his four wheeler, picking berries, hunting mushrooms, working in his garden, and selling his produce at the flea market.  He also loved to sing and play his guitar.

Vernon is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Ida Stiles of Wheelersburg; two sons, Jeffrey R Stiles of Wheelersburg and Louis K Stiles of Wheelersburg; two daughters, Nancy K Wallingford and husband Johnny of Vanceburg, KY and Crystal Bihl and husband Bill of Wheelersburg; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Montgomery; two brothers, Raymond Stiles and Chuck Stiles; two sisters, Lois Stiles and Helen Conklin.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Sam Cook officiating.  Interment will follow at Scioto Furnace Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
