Joyce Jeanne Wright

Joyce Jeanne Wright, 81, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Joyce was born February 14, 1941 in Porter Township, Scioto County to the late Chester Hill and Flora Brown Hill. Joyce graduated from Paramount Beauty Academy with a Cosmetology degree and was self-employed and owner of Joyce’s Beauty Salon for 46 years. She was a member of Cornerstone Nazarene Church and served on the Cornerstone Nazarene Church Board for 10 years. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Larry David Wright and a sister, Karen Otworth. Joyce is survived by two sons, Timothy Lee (Brenda) Pack and Larry David Wright, II; a sister, Janice Hurst; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services for Joyce will be 12:00 noon Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Matthew Hancock officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, 11:00 am until the noon service. The family requests memorial contributions be made to SOMC Hospice or Cornerstone Nazarene Church.
