On April 23, 1948, Junior was united in marriage to Rosilee Mae Williams, who proceeded him in death on April 11, 2021. Junior who always said, “his only hobby was working”, spent 34 years as the owner of Long’s General Store in Latham, Ohio, opening at 6 am each and every morning (8 am on Sundays) and closing at 11 pm each night. Upon his retirement from the store business in 1994, Junior continued his “hobby” by turning his now undivided attention to his other passion, the buying and selling of real estate and timber land. Junior operated LRM Limited, LLC (Long Realty and Mortgage) until a broken hip necessitated his retirement in 2019. Junior enjoyed spending time across the road at the “Liar’s Bench” in front of the store with friends and sharing stories and catching up on the “local news” with his customers at the office next door.
The Long family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated, caring, and wonderful ladies who took such excellent care of our parents during their final three years. We couldn’t have asked for any better.
