Thomas Darrah Massie

Thomas Darrah Massie, 79, of Fairfax, VA, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in Fairfax. He was born November 7, 1942, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Elizabeth Jane (Darrah) and Harold Ellis Massie, Sr.

Tom was a 1960 Portsmouth High School graduate and he received degrees from the Ohio State University and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. An attorney, he retired from the Federal Trade Commission where he worked in the Division of Enforcement, Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Surviving are his brothers, Harold Ellis (Connie) Massie, Jr. of Portsmouth and James Steven Massie of Cincinnati; a nephew, Marc (Laurie) Massie; and a niece, Kristina (Brian) Streeter.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
