Paul Eugene “Sonny” Cremeans

Paul Eugene “Sonny” Cremeans, 84, of Wheelersburg passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.  He was born to the late Homer Clyde and Helen (Oliver) Cremeans on June 18, 1937, in Fullerton, Ky.  Paul worked at Delicious Fruit Farm in St. Paul, KY and at Harbison Walker Refractories and later retired from the Portsmouth City Schools where he worked for many years.  He proudly served  in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles in the US Army during the Korean War. He was stationed at Fort Huachuch. Paul loved to work on cars and owned his own garage, A-1 Auto Care. He loved to travel with friends and family.

Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Harr) Cremeans whom he married November 14, 1961; two sons, Paul Cremeans and wife Kathy, Danny Cremeans and wife Leah; grandchildren, Breanna and husband Zachary, Mia and husband Korey, Brandon and wife Becky, Heather, Kyle and wife Taylor; great-grandchildren, Gabby, Taylor, Kenzie, Alara, Grayson, Karsyn Willow and Karson; sisters, Connie Mounts and Sue Peace.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pat Manchester.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (WOLFE – NELSON CHAPEL) in Sciotoville with interment following at Collier Cemetery in South Portsmouth, KY, the family ask guests to wear masks to the service and there will be some available at the funeral home for those who need one.  Graveside Military honors will be presented by James Dickey American Legion Post #23.  A dinner will be held after the graveside service at Sciotoville Christian Church anyone wanting to bring food for the family are asked to bring it to the church at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
