Stephen Farrell Lykins
Stephen Farrell Lykins, 67, of Jackson, a former Portsmouth resident, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. Steve was born December 17, 1954, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Farrell McCarthy and Francis Carolyn Roth Lykins.
He retired from Verizon after 26 years of service and he enjoyed spending time at the Jackson AmVets post. Steve was a 1973 Portsmouth High School graduate.
His wife, Beverly Jean Charles Lykins, preceded him in death September 30, 2003. The couple was married April 29, 1978, in West Portsmouth.
Surviving is his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Souders of Oak Hill; and two grandchildren, Kori and Kaleb Souders.
His son, David Jason Lykins, also preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. John Gowdy officiating and interment in Berea Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
