Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend Judith Faye Colvin of Springfield, Stockdale and Florida was born into this world on June 2, 1939 to the parents of Dial and Rebecca Hagans Salisbury of Goose Creek Kentucky. She gained her eternal home on Sunday, January 8, 2022 at SOMC hospice.
On May 29, 1957, Judy was married to GB Francis Colvin and they were blessed with a son Kevin (Linda) Colvin and his family, Corey his daughter, and three grandchildren of Springfield, Ohio.
Uncle GB and Aunt Judy spent the next 64 ½ years together working, raising their son and keeping the Salisbury family in-tuned of life, loving yard sales and spending time in Florida.
Judy is survived by her brother Fred; her passing is preceded by that of her parents and brothers – Amos, Harold, Herman, Thomas, Dean, William and her sisters Helen (Webb) and Shirley (Stewart), and a sister in infancy. Judy also has a sister-in-law living– Betty Snow and also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Earl and Mattie Colvin. She was loved and will be missed by many friends, nieces, nephews and many others.
Aunt Judy was a faithful and loving servant to her family and God. One of her special sayings was: “Grab a truth and hang on”. In this today’s world Aunt Judy was a bright light and beautiful lady.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Johnnie Skeens officiating. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family at Salisbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 to 1 Wednesday.
